Beth Scheel

Beth Scheel is an attorney specializing in conflict resolution, human resources counseling, and building communication skills among corporate personnel in the Los Angeles area. She has received extensive training in cutting-edge negotiation techniques and in the art of conflict resolution from the Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative (part of Harvard’s Project on Negotiation). In addition, she is well-versed in traditional models of alternative dispute resolution and communication studies. Ms. Scheel also draws upon her strong background in interpersonal psychology in serving as a trainer, facilitator and consultant in the fields of negotiation, conflict management, and communication skills.

Prior to joining Mobius, Ms. Scheel spent nearly a decade as a litigator in the field of employment law. As an associate with the law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton in Los Angeles, she represented a broad range of corporate clients from Fortune 500 companies to small family-owned businesses. In this role as an advocate, she successfully facilitated the settlement of numerous lawsuits through negotiation and participation in mediation and arbitration processes. Ms. Scheel took great satisfaction in helping her clients fully resolve their differences without the tremendous expense and mental anguish of trial. In addition, much of her practice was devoted to advice, counseling and training human resource personnel regarding employment law issues, helping her clients to build harmony in the workplace and prevent lawsuits whenever possible.

Ms. Scheel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Iowa, where she earned a B.A. with honors in psychology. Thereafter, she received her J.D. from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, graduating cum laude. Ms. Scheel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, laughing and living life to the fullest, and devotes time each day to a yoga and meditation practice.
