Deborah is a Mobius Senior Consultant and Executive Coach based in London, England, with a passion for supporting leaders of global corporates to create the corporate culture that bring out the best in their teams. A Canadian, she has worked as an executive and team coach, facilitator and leadership consultant with international senior executives undergoing change in various service industries. Sample corporate clients include: 3i, AP Moeller Maersk, Bayer Diagnostics, BNP Paribas, BP, Chase (now JP Morgan), Citibank, EIB, Lehman Brothers, Lloyds TSB, McDonald’s, l’Oreal , SABMiller and TMP Worldwide. Deborah is an accredited facilitator for transformation for McKinsey & Company. She has lived, studied or worked in the US, Canada, Switzerland, France, Spain, Brazil, South Africa and the UK. She is fluent in French and Spanish and speaks basic Portuguese.
She particularly enjoys working closely with global businesses that are seeking to be or stay number 1 in their industry and who value the benefits that come from embracing diversity, honouring all stakeholders and building a dynamic, ongoing learning culture. She loves co-creating with clients so that any intervention has sustainable impact: focused on addressing the key business and learning issues, while being fun, illuminating and practical.
More than 15 years of Deborah’s earlier career were spent working in financial services (corporate finance and investment and equity sales) for Morgan Stanley, Oppenheimer and Frank Russell. Her investment recommendations were based largely on her assessment of an organisation’s management and their leadership skills. It was this recognition that gave her the catalyst to change careers. Subsequently Deborah worked for Senn-Delaney Leadership Consulting Group where she managed global, multi-lingual corporate culture change programmes before founding the Centre for Inspired Leadership in 2001. In 2002, Deborah founded the Leadership and Consciousness in Business Symposia series, facilitating discussions among global business thought leaders on the topic of balancing multiple stakeholder needs and values.
Deborah has a BA in French and Spanish from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and an MBA from the Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario. Following her studies, she worked as a Research Associate with IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland for 2 years. She is a certified NLP Practitioner, a member of the International Coaching Federation and has trained with Corporate Transformation Tools (now Values Centre), Coaches Training Institute, Dialogos, Landmark Education, Gita Bellin, Hoffman Institute, ExecuTAP (team alignment process), The Leadershipv Circle and Newfield Network (ontological coaching).
In her spare time, Deborah enjoys skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, entertaining, theatre and opera. She also enjoys connecting with cousins in an extended family that is spread over six continents.
