Håkan Silfverlin

Håkan has a broad business background in consulting, general and functional management and functional roles including process, product and business development. He consults for global and local companies in organizational change and top team performance in Latin America. He has a proven track record helping organizations, senior teams and leader enhance performance by developing practices and behaviors that support their business strategy.

Until recently, he has a specialist within the McKinsey&Company Organization Practise in Latin America, focusing on transformational change, top team performance and leadership challenges. Prior to joining McKinsey&Company, Håkan worked with organizational development within a leading Peruvian conglomerate, with leadership and top team development in Peruvian boutique consulting firm and he also co-founded and led the Peruvian BTL advertisement agency Periscopio.

Håkan began his career in Swedish steel industry where he was active until his move to Peru 2005. He worked in a wide range of roles including overhead crane operator, product manager, R&D engineer and business developer. He also lead Lean transformations of factories in Sweden. USA, Canada and Spain as well as being in charge a team designing future state wire drawing mills.

Hakan received a M.Sc. in Materials Science from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He has also done a PAD, Programa de Alta Dirección, in the Univeridad de Piura, Lima, Perú.

Born in Storfors, Sweden, Håkan currently lives with his wife and four children in Lima, Perú where he enjoys exploring the local cultural and natural richness as well as the wonderful Peruvian cuisine.
