Hendrik Backerra

Hendrik Backerra is an experienced professional executive coach and facilitator who has worked extensively with individuals and teams in corporate environments worldwide in the area of culture-transformation. He supports senior managers and high potential staff to create breakthroughs in their current performance. His passion lies in assisting others to discover their untapped leadership potential and develop impactful new behaviors, which create game changing shifts and significant performance enhancements in their respective fields. He develops their transformational leadership capabilities by focusing on their strengths and uniqueness, as well as addressing their individual patterns to resist the needed change. His coaching approach takes into account the challenges the client faces in his business context holistically.

Feedback from his clients consistently emphasizes his ability to connect and to powerfully focus on the opportunities and possibilities, which lie in the client’s life. His positive, empathic and supportive approach quickly builds trust and creates a nourishing environment. He assists his clients in developing pragmatic solutions to complex career and personal challenges.

Having worked as engagement manager and project manager for IBM and for McKinsey as a consultant for organizational behavior, he has extensive experience in a variety of industries, e.g. banking, consumer goods, retail, public/social sector, high-tech/ telecommunication, automotive, energy/chemical and pharma.

While he completed his study in industrial engineering at TU, Berlin, he discovered his passion for the personal side of change. Hendrik continuously deepens his knowledge in human development through numerous intensive coaching educations, including becoming an NLP Master, studying ontological coaching with the Newfield Network and transformation with Gita Bellin, and learning from the models of Spiral Dynamics, The Leadership Circle and Integral Enlightenment. He frequently works with the Barrett-Values-Framework. This gives him the ability to react flexibly and professionally with his clients. He published four books in the field of self motivation and creativity. Hendrik is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) since 2000, and lead the chapter in Berlin from 2004 to 2005.

His belief that transformational leadership is critical for personal and organizational sustainable success led him to Mobius Executive Leadership. In his free time he loves to discover the depth of contemporary art and occasionally organizes events with galleries. Theater and movies are other areas of his interest. In order to give back to society, he regularly supports NGOs and social organizations by providing customized workshops and coaching.
