Kelly Asato is a Mobius Somatic Coach and Lead Facilitator for the Winning from Within approach to transformative leadership.
For more than 15 years, Kelly has worked in the areas of communication, adult education, curriculum development and workshop delivery as an experienced group facilitator, workshop leader and coach. She is passionate about helping people identify their deepest potential and find fulfillment in their professional and personal lives.
A native to Hawai’i now living outside of Boston, Kelly is a core member of the Winning From Within faculty, having taught residential leadership programs with Erica Ariel Fox for many years. Together they’ve explored the integration of left-brain and right-brain learning, combining cognitive engagement with cutting-edge experiential learning. Kelly has developed of a unique method of transformation as part of the Winning From Within leadership curriculum, “Voyager Coaching” which is now used in Mobius’ premiere offering, Executive Breakthrough Program.
Kelly has unique expertise in the mind-body connection, with the ability to diagnose breakdowns in an individual’s personal system at multiple levels, and the skills to foster profound transformation. She is experienced in a wide range of expressive arts tools that foster right-brain learning and insight and is a highly trusted advisor by her senior clients.
Before coming to Mobius, Kelly worked in human resources as a senior consultant with specialties in outplacement and on-boarding, both in workshop facilitation and coaching management teams. She spent many years working in the public sector, including collaborating on an economic development study for America Samoa with the US Department of the Interior, and leading HR trainings for federal employees of the US Department of Homeland Security.
She is trained to help teams achieve higher performance as well as to coach individuals through periods of professional and personal transition. Kelly is a certified Somatic Coach from the Strozzi Institute and holds a degree from the University of Hawaii in Communication and Organizational Management.
Kelly’s interests include Hawaiian music and dance, meditation, and Tai Chi and Qigong as healing arts. She enjoys being in nature, humor, Hawai’i’s warm sandy beaches and snowboarding in Whistler Blackcomb.
