Marc Roudebush

Marc Roudebush is an executive coach and culture change consultant whose empathetic listening, fresh perspectives, and “tough love” have
helped senior leaders achieve breakthrough results in companies as  diverse as Google, Bacardi, Boston Consulting Group, and the award-winning social enterprise Root Capital. Whether in his individual, team or organizational work, Marc helps leaders expand their “effectiveness
dashboard” to include not only the technical (or “It”) dimension of tasks and external accomplishments, but also the “human dimensions” of “I” (personal integrity, learning, growth), and “We” (relationship, trust, mutual respect). Along with his deep, hands-on experience in coaching and consulting, Marc brings direct experience as a business executive (CEO and Managing Director roles) and a rigorous analytical perspective honed during his doctoral studies at U.C. Berkeley.

Marc has specialized in leadership coaching, team-building and culture change from a “Conscious Business” perspective – helping clients generate awareness (“aha!”), make powerful choices, and take action with effectiveness and integrity. In addition to coaching hundreds of executives and facilitating leadership development and team-building workshops he has led client service teams in designing and delivering culture diagnostics and multi-stakeholder train-the-coach programs.Clients have included Google, Citi, Bacardi, Axa, BCG, Crowe-Horwath, Giving Group and HSBC.

As Managing Director for North American Programs for the leading educational travel company, Explorica, Marc increased North America revenues by 400% and led a company-wide overhaul of web site usability and branding. As the CEO of GLobalPlateau, Marc launched the first mass-distributed guide to culturally-and environmentally-friendly tourism in Latin America and developed a system for identifying exemplary smaller tourism businesses that was endorsed by National Geographic, Conservation International, and Rainforest Alliance.

As a Director of Creative Delivery at Sapient Corporation, Marc led multidisciplinary teams in designing and delivering large-scale, Web-based solutions for clients in the public and private sectors.

Marc holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of California at Berkeley, and he is certified in NLP-based coaching. He trained in coaching with Newfield Network, is a graduate of the Action Design Institute and a long-time practitioner of Action Learning. Marc has been practicing martial arts since 1989 and has taught numerous beginner and intermediate Tai Chi classes. He lives in Boston with his wife and three children.
