Monica Parker, a Mobius Executive Coach and Consultant, is a dispute resolution consultant and the founder of LeavingTheLaw.com, an organization that provides career coaching for dissatisfied lawyers. Monica has served as a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School teaching the negotiation course for law students. She has also served as a member of the teaching team for the executive version of the course at the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard Law. Monica is an Execution Coach at Mobius Executive Leadership.
In her consulting practice, Monica provides negotiation and communication training for a variety of clients. She has conducted workshops for Goldman Sachs, IBM, Deloitte & Touche, and the Environmental Protection Agency, among others. Participants ranged from recently promoted senior tax managers facing greater client contact to financial institution executives dealing with changing culture due to a merger.
Monica also provides conflict resolution services for organizations with internal conflicts and communication difficulties. She has facilitated dialogue amongst a college faculty embroiled in a dispute, coached an internet start-up on how to improve strained relationships with investors, and helped to develop and deliver a sexual harassment training program at The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina.
Monica has a B.A. in English and American Literature from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She has been a practicing attorney with Alston & Bird, LLP and Mazursky & Dunaway, LLP in Atlanta, GA. Prior to law school, Monica developed film scripts for Spike Lee at 40 Acres and A Mule Filmworks and worked as an assistant manager for Winn Dixie, a grocery chain.
