Nancy Beer is a senior leadership and business strategist to corporate, public sector and non-profit executives, entrepreneurs, and leadership groups. She has over fifteen years of experience in leadership focused organizations and a total of twenty-five years experience in strategy, business development, marketing and managing business processes. Nancy is a strategist, an innovator and a dreamer.
She has worked in a wide range of industries, including energy, technology services, higher education, non-profit, state and local government, publishing, electronics and healthy living.
Nancy has designed, implemented and led comprehensive programs to support building leadership competencies at the individual, team and organizational levels. She is particularly interested in helping groups and executives function when faced with important, multi-layered decisions, complex authority structures, competing interests and tensions in interpersonal and group dynamics.
In addition to Nancy’s business leadership experience, she is also an ICF Certified Coach and has coached C-suite executives as well as entrepreneurs and artists.
Her coaching philosophy is to partner with clients to help them create personalized plans to achieve professional and personal objectives within the context of their organization’s values and business goals. She does so by building trust with her clients and offering an accessible presence to help clients explore new ways of thinking and behaving.

Until January, 2015, Nancy served as Assistant Dean of Executive Education at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business in Washington, DC. She developed and managed the delivery of over 50 leadership programs since she joined the University in 2010. Her portfolio represented global companies and organizations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States.
Before joining Georgetown, Nancy was Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at CGI, a global technology company. Prior to this she was the founding partner of The Tabard Group, which she formed to consult to business leaders and social entrepreneurs on strategic partnership development. Nancy began her career in New York City on Wall Street as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.
She has a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. She received her ICF Certificate in Executive Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University in 2013.
Nancy has two sons, a daughter and a step-daughter and lives in the District of Columbia with her husband, Neal.
