Rachel Milner Gillers

Rachel Milner Gillers, a Mobius Consultant and Senior Associate at the Consensus Building Institute, is a trainer and facilitator. She has created and delivered negotiation, mediation, and communication skills workshops for a range of clients, including executives, government officials, and NGOs.

Rachel has developed negotiation and conflict management tools for companies in the consumer products, financial services, and pharmaceutical sectors. She has helped diverse clients, including Procter & Gamble, Pfizer, TNS, and Deutsche Bank, to identify and overcome individual and organizational barriers to negotiating better agreements. Rachel has trained attorneys, CEOs, and educators from around the world at the Harvard Negotiation Initiative (HNI) and has trained mediators in both academic and public sector settings.

Rachel also trains senior United Nations staff worldwide in negotiation, strategic priority setting, and effective communication skills. She has prepared leaders across the UN system for inter-agency negotiations, public-private partnership building, and managing workplace conflict. As a facilitator, she has worked with independent accountability mechanisms at multilateral development banks and with corporate partnerships at international environmental organizations.

Rachel holds joint Master’s degrees from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and Harvard Divinity School, where she focused on international negotiation and conflict resolution. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, she has lived in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
