Richard Cohen

Richard Cohen, a Mobius Senior Consultant and Coach, is an expert in the fields of leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution. He has trained countless leaders in negotiation and influence, transformational leadership, and disrupting unconscious bias. Richard has also coached senior executives on a range of issues including performance, managing up, overcoming founder’s syndrome, work-life balance, time management, and emotional intelligence.
Richard’s client list includes Google, McKinsey & Company, L’Oreal, eBay, HSBC, General Dynamics, Siemens, Sanofi, Lowes, MathWorks, ExxonMobil, Bayer, Proctor and Gamble, Deloitte, and Bloomberg. In the nonprofit sector he has worked with NASA, The U.S. Department of Labor, Boston Street Workers, and The Clinton Foundation. Richard’s work has taken him across the globe.
Richard has served as a Senior Adjunct Professor at Tufts University, The University of Massachusetts and Cambridge College. Earlier in his career Richard founded the first organization dedicated to teaching mediation skills to young people. He was selected as a Fulbright Specialist in 2015, and in 2011 he received the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Kriedler Award for “distinguished service to the field of conflict resolution.”
Richard is the author of a number of books, and most recently created the free online guide to check-ins, checkinsuccess.com, designed to help leaders use this simple tool to enable teams to perform at a higher level.Richard lives outside Boston and enjoys swimming in kettle ponds, great music of every genre, eating pomegranates, and his wonderful family. Not in that order.

Richard holds an M.A. in Psychology from Beacon College.
