Robin Athey

Robin Athey partners with clients to develop adaptive leadership and cultures in a dynamic, uncertain and complex world. She serves as a trusted guide through transformational change, where territory is unfamiliar and answers are unclear. She works with individuals, teams and large groups.

Robin brings 28 years of experience as an executive coach, change agent, group facilitator and thought leader. Her organizational clients have included ABB, Microsoft, Eli Lilly, Chantelle, Cole Haan / Nike, Fujitsu, Hanes Brands and IDEO.  She has consulted for the Italian, Jamaican, and former Soviet governments.  Her coaching clients have included executives, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, consultants and a former head-of-state.

For nine years, Robin was Research Director at Deloitte, where she led the firm’s global research on the human aspects of organizational performance.  She also served as an executive coach within the firm. Her work on talent strategy, leadership, learning and collaborative networks generated millions of dollars and led to new services in Deloitte’s consulting practice.

Prior to Deloitte, Robin led global production as Vice-President of Cole-Haan, a subsidiary of Nike.  She began her career as a strategy and operations consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates.

Robin has been an explorer her whole life. She has lived around the globe and worked in 28 countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the former Soviet Union.

She has been a fellow at Harvard University.  Her work has been published at the World Economic Forum and in media such as The EconomistABC World News,The TimesInvestors’ Business Daily, and The Globe and Mail.  And she has immersed in dozens of leading-edge methodologies – forever seeking the most powerful approaches to foster self-awareness, leadership, innovation and transformational growth.

She holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Florida; an M.A. in International Economic Policy from Columbia University; and an Advanced Certificate in Organizational Development and HR from Columbia University and the University of Michigan.

Robin lives in the USA and Brazil.  She is a long-time practitioner of meditation and yoga, loves music and dance, and cherishes time with her nieces and goddaughters.
