Mark Burrell

Mark is an experienced mentor and coach to executive leadership teams seeking to move beyond high performance. He helps leadership teams coalesce around a powerful sense of purpose, discern their growth edge, and build the practices that expand the team’s leadership impact. He is an expert in helping top teams rapidly build team culture following major team renewal; deepen foundations of trust and cohesion; and create transformation that enables them to bring the emerging future into the current reality more quickly.

For over a decade Mark has supported top executive teams of leading global and Australian companies through these transitions, and built a reputation for helping leaders and their teams cultivate deep and lasting leadership growth.

His interest is in helping leaders develop their capacity to create businesses galvanised by a higher purpose and values and cultures that create meaning, fulfillment and happiness for all stakeholders. His coaching and facilitation focus is on helping leaders access their inherent capacity for deeper wisdom and apply this skillfully to the most important opportunities they face to shape themselves, and those around them.

His corporate career has spanned leadership roles at BHP, Qantas and Stockland. Prior to joining Mobius, Mark was Managing Partner, Axialent Australia, where he led a diverse team of consultants delivering team, culture and leadership solutions to organisation’s in technology and financial services including Microsoft, AXA, AMP, IAG, Bank Mandiri, Alcatel-Lucent, and many others.

He holds a Bachelor of Business and has undertaken advanced Leadership and Management education programs in Australia and the USA. He is continually engaged in learning and professional development with a particular interest in the philosophy of economic and social freedom, somatic psychotherapy, the mindfulness traditions of East and West, Dialogue, Process Work and Adult Complexity Theory. For the past decade he has been cultivating a Zen practice in the Ordinary Mind school tradition.

Mark resides in Sydney and is married with two children and can be found most weekends, all year round, enjoying surfing and beach time with his family.
